Eddie Offord is a noted record producer and engineer, who worked in his ADVISION Studio in London on some of the most famous albums in the 1970s. He is especially well known for his work with the progressive rock groups Emerson, Lake and Palmer and Yes. ELP wrote a tribute to Eddie Offord with the song "Are You Ready, Eddie?", issued 1971 on their Tarkus album. Chris Squire of Yes described Offord's influence on their album "Fragile" with the following words: "Eddie Offord's maturity as a producer and engineer gives 'Fragile' the sonic depth and sophistication it deserves and this made the album in fact 'fragile'".
